We would like to acknowledge the incredible work done by our Administration and Nursing staff in both Ballyshannon and Bundoran centres, in particular since the covid pandemic began 15 months ago. They have worked above and beyond expectation, in difficult circumstances.
- They have enabled over 5,500 covid vaccine doses to be given in the practice, working long hours to facilitate this.
- We have had a 40% increase in patient contacts over the past two years, and they have handled this with the utmost professionalism.
- Our staff have coped with frequent necessary changes to how we can safely deliver care, often at short notice.
Public health authorities are still insisting that social distancing is maintained in our waiting rooms , and that all requests for appointments must be triaged by the nurses or GPs to prevent another covid wave with the Delta variant. Because of the very significant increase in workload, we need to safely prioritise any necessary face to face consults.
In order to do this, when you phone for an appointment, the receptionist will ask you for a brief description of the problem. All our staff will of course keep this information confidential.
We appreciate that the pandemic has been very stressful for all concerned, and we thank you for your co-operation and patience in adjusting to the necessary changes to ensure the safest environment possible.
