Dr. Murphy  graduated from UCD in 1985 and finished his training as a GP in 1990.

He holds Diplomas in Child  Health and  Obsterics , and the certificate in Family Planning and is a Member if the Irish College of General Practice

He has worked in Co. Donegal since 1990 and Bundoran since 1997.

He was one of the founding partners of Bayview Family Practice in 2001.

He was the Continuing Medical Education Tutor for Donegal for 7 years , and has been teaching undergraduate students from NUIG for since 1998.

Since early in his career he has had a special interest in the care of patients with Diabetes but enjoys the variety of challenges provided by family practice. He performs minor surgery and joint injection.
